Couldn't I build this myself with Claude Code?
Couldn't I build this myself with Claude Code?
A root cause agent, yes. You can wire Claude Code up to your logs and get something useful in an afternoon. That is one piece of Ordyn. The rest needs infrastructure that runs all the time, not a prompt. Auto Monitors start from intent: Ordyn reads each pull request to understand what the change is meant to do, then creates the monitors that change needs in your own tools. It waits for real traffic after each deploy, checks the change is healthy, and keeps those monitors tuned as production moves. It grades every alert before it reaches Slack, tracks each open issue until it is actually resolved, and remembers how past problems were solved.Building that, and keeping it running as your system changes, is the product.
How do I know it won't just be more noise?
How do I know it won't just be more noise?
You don’t have to take our word for it. Run shadow mode: Ordyn posts to a separate channel next to your real one for a week, with nothing rerouted. If it isn’t quieter and sharper, walk away.
Will it create a thousand monitors?
Will it create a thousand monitors?
Monitor count isn’t the goal. What surfaces is. Ordyn combines monitors across pull requests, rejects duplicates, and every alert is graded before it posts. Monitors live in your provider, where you can see and edit them.
We manage monitors in Terraform.
We manage monitors in Terraform.
Ordyn creates its own monitors and doesn’t modify monitors it didn’t create unless you ask. Your Terraform-managed monitors are unaffected.
AI agents are confidently wrong. Why trust this?
AI agents are confidently wrong. Why trust this?
Don’t trust it. Check it. Every claim Ordyn makes links to the log line, metric, or code it came from, every investigation carries a confidence score, and you can see the exact path Ordyn took. Fixes open as pull requests that go through your normal review.
Is Ordyn secure?
Is Ordyn secure?
SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA compliant. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, logically isolated per customer, and never used to train models. Access to your observability tools and databases is read-only. Details at trust.ordyn.dev and in Security.
Does Ordyn store my code?
Does Ordyn store my code?
Ordyn reads code during analysis and indexes it for search. It does not use your code to train models. See Security.
How is this different from Datadog or PagerDuty with AI features?
How is this different from Datadog or PagerDuty with AI features?
Those tools each handle a slice: graphs, paging, dedup. None of them know what your code was supposed to do. Ordyn starts from the pull request, creates the monitors the change needs, keeps them tuned as production moves, and investigates to root cause with a fix attached. It also triages the alerts you already have rather than adding another dashboard on top.

GitHub only for now.
Do I have to use the web app?
Do I have to use the web app?
No. Most teams work with Ordyn entirely from Slack. The app is there for setup, the Open Issues board, and digging into evidence.
